Uniting body,
mind, and spirit
I focus on people’s individual needs with functional yoga as a tool to unify the body, mind, and spirit
Want to know more about me and my philosophy around yoga?
My mission is to unite the body, mind, and spirit while promoting the discovery of the wealth of intelligence and beauty inside oneself. I want to showcase the benefits of functional yoga and encourage the acceptance of the body and the wonderful things it can achieve.
My teaching
Teaching functional yoga means knowledge of anatomy, it’s about understanding that people’s hips develop differently, which means that some poses will just be inaccessible to some and not to others, no matter how hard they practice. I also add in a lot of mindfulness into my classes which means its not just a work out for the body, but I push for self-study of the mind too.
The benefits I offer
Mindfulness
Positive self -image
Increased flexibility of body and mind
Improved respiration, energy and vitality
Improvement in cardio and circulatory function
Improved athletic performance

Lovely word about my teaching

“Having tried yoga and pilates in the past I was delighted when Kate started teaching her classes, they give me an opportunity to challenge and explore limitations I had placed on myself and always manages to imbue a sense of calm and relaxation. I love Kate’s yoga class she is encouraging, inspirational and patient, it’s such an uplifting class”

‘‘I have been doing Kate’s yoga classes on zoom now since she started at the beginning of lockdown. I honestly love them! Kate explains everything really well and always gives options and reminds you to listen to your body. I have noticed such a difference in my body and mind. Kate has encouraged me to challenge myself and I have used this on and off the mat. You will not regret doing one of Kate’s classes.”

“I have been taking classes with Kate for a few months now and have found them to be really great way to keep active whilst working from home. Kate will always suggest variations to poses to help you to challenge yourself but also when you may find a pose a little too much. It’s these variations which have also helped me realise just how much I have improved with Kate’s help and my family have noticed that my body is more toned. A morning session of yoga is a great way to start the day.”

“Kate has taught me so much whilst doing her yoga classes. Her style is wonderful and enjoyable. Although, Kate is fun and relaxed she has pushed me to do things I didn’t think I could do, and it’s made me feel amazing. I have suffered with back pain for nearly 12 years, which later caused trouble with my hips after my kids were born. As a result I rarely did any exercise, but I pushed myself to do yoga routinely with Kate and my back and hips are so much better for it. I have little to no pain now and it’s freeing. Thank you Kate”
